SME Foundation will do everything possible for
Bangladesh Boutique House Owners' Association (BBHOA)---------Mr. Aftab ul Islam.

SME Foundation Chairperson Mr. Aftab ul Islam said, 'Contribution of Boutique House in Bangladesh Economy is praise worthy. This sector should be treated as importantly as the export sector that can bring the ultimate glory to the business. While discussing with a 10 member delegation headed by Poly Rashid, president of the "Boutique House Owners' Association (BBHOA) at the SME Foundation conference room today (Sunday), Mr. Aftab ul Islam said, SME Foundation will do everything possible for the betterment of Boutique House Owners' Associations well as for the empowerment of the women entrepreneurs, . Managing Director of SME Foundation, Syed Rezwanul Kabir was also present and spoke on the occasion. Among them there were a fruitful discussion related to the issues of SME development including capacity building, training, skill development, Boutique Fair, easy Bank loan and an individual office for the association etc. They also have had common interaction about their SME programmes, development, activities and achievements.
Mr Aftab ul Islam said, obstacles in getting loans must be reduced and SME Foundation will take necessary initiatives in this regard", he added..
The SME Foundation chief Mr. Aftab ul Islam said, SME Foundation has been emphasizing to ensure an easy credit access for SME entrepreneurs. The number of small entrepreneurs without access to credit is large, and we want entrepreneurs can get loans at ease terms and a low interest rate- he expressed.
He said, Small and Medium Enterprises are the backbone of the economy in countries like Bangladesh. where as, SMEs suffer from common constraints such as lack of capital, difficulties in procuring raw materials, lack of access to relevant business information, low technological capabilities, bureaucratic procedures, and regulations that generate market distortions.
Ms. Poly Rashid, President of the "Boutique House Owners' Association said , a majority of our small and medium industry entrepreneurs specially the women belong to the lower middle class and cannot get funding from commercial banks.

Ms. Poly Rashid said, in order to develop the country as well as the economy ' women Entrepreneurship Development, upholding women, freedom to execute their own plans, and ensure financial assistance. 'is a must.

Managing Director Syed Rezwanul Kabir said, that skills development programme would be taken up by the foundation to enhance human resource in this sector. Syed Kabir, also described the mission, vision and activities briefly to the delegation and said that SME Foundation will do help the Boutique House Owners' Association as much as possible within the frame of law.
